GENERAL INFORMATION:

Mamara HOTEL Budapest is equipped with top of the line fire safety system. All hotel personnel are trained to handle any unexpected emergencies quickly and accurately. For the safety of our guests all points of the hotel – including the guest rooms – are equipped with smoke detectors and an automatic fire sprinkler system.

We ask our guests not to light a candle in your room due to the fire alarm system. The hotel’s electronic fire alarm system in case of fire automatically alerts the fire department.

For your own safety we ask that you familiarize yourself with the closest evacuation route from your room and the locations of fire extinguishers and alarm devices as soon as possible. Please, take a moment to study the evacuation plan which will come into effect in case of emergency. The evacuation routes to the smoke free stairways are indicated by the green lit signs in the corridor.

PLEASE, BE PREPARED FOR EMERGENCIES

Locate the emergency exit closest to your room. Count and memorize the number of doors between your room and the emergency exit. Open the emergency exit door and study the location and the disposition of the escape staircase. Observe the location of the manual fire alarm device, and wall hydrant closest to your room.

Instructions in case you detect a fire:

IMMEDIATELY LEAVE THE BUILDING

If you detect smoke or fire in the hotel, immediately notify the receptionist!!!

If a fire breaks out in your room, immediately leave the place and activate the closest manual fire alarm device on the corridor. You can find          manual fire alarms at the emergency exits and elevators. Please, if you are able, close all the doors and windows that can localize the further spread of the fire. The smoke and fire proof foreground elevator doors automatically close in case of a fire alert but can be opened manually. Please, don’t risk your safety by extinguishing or localizing the fire. You may try to extinguish only minor fires with the portable fire extinguishers but only if all the conditions are met for safe fire-fighting.

If you detect broad fire and fire that has not been localized, immediately leave the building!

Leave your room immediately!

Use the evacuation routes on the stairways for escape! Do not use the elevators!

The smoke and fire proof doors automatically close but can be opened manually in order to ensure further rescue taks!

THINGS TO DO IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU LEFT YOUR ROOM:

With the help of the green lit signs find the closest emergency exit.

Open the door carefully and go to the ground floor through the smoke free stairway.

If it’s dark on the corridor, go closely along the wall and count the number of doors until you reach the mergency exit. Squat or crawl close to the floor since the air is relatively clearer from smoke.

Never try to get through a thick swirling fire wall! Never use the elevator and keep calm!

WHAT TO DO IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE YOUR ROOM:

Call the Reception and inform them about your location and condition! Remain in your room. If the exit from your room is blocked, this is the safest place to wait for rescue. Place wet towels to the door-step to block the smoke’s way into the room. If the fire reaches the windows from outside, move away all the flammable objects from the surroundings. Get the dust-bins ready in case you need to extinguish or keep the towels placed on the door-step wet. Attract attention to yourself! Try to signal with a bed-sheet at the window so that firefighters could notice you more easily. Put a wet piece of textile in front of your mouth and nose to facilitate breathing.

Close the windows so that the fire cannot flicker      more from the air-flow.

Consider your actions and keep calm!

Please do not smoke in the room. Smoking is forbidden throughout the hotel.

Do not use extraneous electric kettle or cooking devices.

Do not place flammable objects on the lamps (e.g. clothes, towels).
